PowerPoint Games - Optional Day

Today is an optional day of class. Attendance is not mandatory but will allow you to make up for a previous absence.

Please be reminded that games are due on Thursday, March 22 at the beginning of class. Games should be linked on a page in your portfolio. Please view the project description for additional information.

Don't forget that you can earn additional points if you submit your game with professional packaging (the project description gives you details about this).

Technical note: if you are unable to link to your game (it takes forever to upload - or it never actually uploads) then you probably have some images that are too large. That can be easily fixed following the steps listed below:
1. Open your game in PowerPoint on a PC.
2. Go to an image you inserted (this will probably be a photograph or something that you scanned - not a piece of clip art) and right-click on the image.
3. Choose "Format Picture" from the drop-down menu
4. Click the "Compress" button
5. Check the box that says "all pictures in document"
6. Click "OK"
7. Save your game

This will reduce the file size of all of the images in your game - you should be able to upload your game at this point. If your game will still not upload - send me an email BEFORE Thursday's class letting me know and I will assist you with it during Thursday's class.

Note for 9:30 class ONLY: Games are due on Tuesday, March 27 at the beginning of class. We will not work on games during Thursday's class -- we will begin our next project.
